Game Startup Verify

Southern Sweden has become one of the major game development hotspots in Europe, sporting one of the highest concentrations of game developers anywhere in Europe, a wide range of studios from indie to AAA, one of Europe’s leading game conferences and one of the best game schools in the world.

With successes big and small, across all genres and platforms receiving international recognition and praise, Malmö is on a mission to become the gaming capital of Europe. With increasing collaboration for a thriving and sustainable ecosystem across the region, southern Sweden (Blekinge and Skåne) now has over 70 game companies, we now aim to enable more studios to get started, develop and grow.

Under the direction of our project partners and friends at Blekinge Business Incubator (BBI), Game Habitat and our project partners Minc, Ideon Innovation, Blekinge Tekniska Högskola (BTH) with support from Tillväxtverket invite you to a 10-weeks program with focus on verifying your game project.

A 10-weeks program with focus on game concept verification.

Verify your game concept through pitching and social media presence to validate your game and improve your marketing skills.

What is Game Startup Verify?

Game Startup Verify is a 10-week program running from early October to mid December 2021 where we focus on one thing: verification.

You will work actively and hands-on with verifying your game concept through publisher and investor pitching, as well as by actively working with social media to improve your marketing skills and validate your game towards your audience.

Through assignments you’ll sharpen up your social media presence, explore market potential and verify your game towards your audience. The program will help you make sure your communication is engaging and inclusive by providing coaching and feedback from industry experts as well as group sessions on a weekly basis.

The program will have you…

… pitch for publishers and investors.

… build a buzz online through social media.

… analyze the market and find out where your game fits in.

… learn crucial inclusive and effective communication skills.
