Game Startup Academy
Dreaming of starting a game studio??
Southern Sweden has become one of the major game development hotspots in Europe, sporting one of the highest concentrations of game developers anywhere in Europe, a wide range of studios from indie to AAA, one of Europe’s leading game conferences and one of the best game schools in the world.
With successes big and small, across all genres and platforms receiving international recognition and praise, Malmö is on a mission to become the gaming capital of Europe. With increasing collaboration for a thriving and sustainable ecosystem across the region, southern Sweden (Blekinge and Skåne) now has over 70 game companies, but we believe there is plenty of room for more!
This spring Game Habitat in collaboration with Blekinge Business Incubator (BBI), Minc, Ideon Innovation, Blekinge Tekniska Högskola (BTH) and Tillväxtverket invite you to a series of workshops on the inner workings of starting and running a games company.
A five-part workshop series focusing on the inner workings of starting and running a games company.
What is Game Startup Academy?
Game Startup Academy is a five-part workshop series focusing on the things you need to know in order to start-up your own game studio.
Over the course of five online workshops you will get a chance to learn about things like how to find and build the right team, how to build a network and communicate your game, how to plan, develop and deliver your first game project and how to secure funding.
You’ll meet speakers from the industry, local as well as international, and will participate in exercises and networking possibilities with other game developers.

- are based in Southern Sweden (Skåne and Blekinge)
